I've recently dined here a few times and this restaurant definitely lives up to the hype as being one of the best Italian restaurants in Northern VA. This was my first time eating pasta tossed in a cheese wheel and it was delicious. And you can definitely tell the pasta was freshly handmade and not from a box.
The pizza is Neapolitan wood-fired, which is a nice change from the commercial pizza's like Dominos and Papa Johns. I will definitely return to try the other fresh pasta dishes. -

This is my go-to Italian restaurant in the Fairfax/Centreville/Chantilly area. Great atmosphere, excellent selection of food, and friendly staff!
I usually do takeout and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food and the large portions. Whenever I get pasta from here, I usually order a side of bruschetta or calamari as an appetizer. The calamari is crispy and very tasty. Highly recommend it!
The price is decent for the quality and portions. If you're in the Centreville area and craving some homey, authentic Italian food, I highly recommend Ciao Osteria. It's a great place to dine with the family for any occasion. -

Ciao Osteria is stunning find in a suburban strip center, a sparkling gem among the ordinary.
Here's why: the family which owns and operates the restaurant is actually Italian. The brick lined, wood-burning pizza oven was designed and built for the venue. A delegation from Naples visited Ciao Osteria and awarded them the label; "Authentica."
The Neapolitans take their namesake pizza very seriously. This then is Authentic Neapolitan Pizza.
And it's outstanding. Perfectly turned dough with a bubbly, crispy crust, light char in all the right places with a delectable hint of proper yeast ferment. Neapolitan pizza dough is complex and requires explicit technique and experience.
Visit for the pie but don't ignore the rest of the menu, especially the seafood. Naples is a seaport, so mussels, octopus and clams are featured here at Ciao.
The mussels come from a local purveyor and are guaranteed fresh, fat and sweet. The grilled octopus is superior, the best I've ever had, including Samos in Baltimore. Tender, meaty, perfectly marinated and char grilled to absolute, astonishing perfection. And unlike the trendy gastropubs in DC, at Ciao the portion is generous.
This is a professional, big-city Italian restaurant exported to the 'burbs. And we are blessed to have them. -

Can't say enough good about this place. The service was not only 10/10 but the food and the prices were awesome. Literally the whole package! We got the calamari, buffalo cheese pizza, gnocchi trescolores, and carbonara. Everything was amazing and the plate was clean! When the bill came it was a pleasant surprise how cheap it came out to. With all the fame of this restaurant they could easily raise prices but keep it very reasonable. The owner even makes an effort to talk to every table (and not just a quick hello but a genuine conversation). As you can tell from the millions of reviews on here, Caío is far from overrated and do yourself a favor and stop in!

So very glad my friend recommended this great restaurant! The atmosphere was nice! It's cross between casual and romantic but neither of the two. I'd call it a classy! Wine glasses and cloth napkins, a cork textured wine menu!
The only hard part is picking which delicious meal to order!!!
I had a pizza, meatball appetizer, and I tried my friends eggplant! Delicious!
My Italian buddy said the sauce was as good as his grandfathers traditional homemade sauce!!!!
Make a reservation but walk-ins are welcome.
LE friendly too!
